Special ceremony was held in Mtskheta dedicated to the memory of the warriors killed in the August war with Russia.
Mourning service was conducted in the Patriarchal Cathedral Svetitskhoveli. The service was finished with the action-blessed food was taken to the foster house.
At 1.00. p.m. a live chain was organized in the central square .At 3.00 p.m. representatives of the Governor’s office and local Board visited the families of the warriors killed in the war and paid one more honor to the families of the heroes’.
The film of Lany Harvin “Five days of August” was presented to the public. The event was finished with the choirs’ presentation in the adjacent area of the museum. Great number of candles were lit in honor of the killed soldiers.

On July 29 charitable action was held on the territory of the Mtskheta culture center. The event was held on the initiative of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Givernor’s office and international charitable organizations “LDS-Charity” and “Adamiani” . In terms of the project,32 disabled persons were provided with the wheelchairs and other essential material.10 beneficieries were able to attend the meeting,but the rest of them were sent all the necessary things.
