On march 10 the meeting of the local NGOs and UN representatives was hold in the village Ananuri ( Dusheti Municipality) in the conference hall of the restaurant “Ananuri”.The aim of the conference was strengthening of Georgian public society, intensify relationship between NGOs and local and state authorities, also presentations of the projects, prepared by the participants. The meeting was held with the attendance of the Governor of the Mtskheta –Mtianeti region and all the leaders of the regional municipalities.
Mtskheta-Mtianeti region mostly includes mountainous districts :Mtiuleti,Pshav-Khevsureti, Gudamakari ,Kazbegi . . .

The conference was held on the initiative of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Administration and The Agency of the Protected Areas with the attendance of the representative of the German Bank of Reconstruction Loans (KFW).
The meeting was attended by the representatives of Dusheti and Kazbegi Municipalities,NGOs and local population.
The aim of the meeting was engagement of the state people and local population in the project,changing information and having discussions was also very important on that point of view. The first stage (four year ) of the project comprises . . .

An important meeting within the framework of War Free World Heritage Listed Cities project was hosted by the Municipality of Mtskheta on March the 25th, at the Mtskheta Palace Hotel. Key Georgian authorities as well as experts on culture heritage gathered to discuss main steps forward for a better protection of cultural heritage from armed conflicts. This project funded by the European Union through the worldwide programme CIUDAD.
The War Free World Heritage Listed Cities project aims at establishing good practices for urban and site . . .

Mtskheta-Mtianeti region hosted several events in honor of the people ,killed on April 9.1989:
One of them was at the Shota Rustaveli Library, where the members of Mtskheta municipality culture and sport bodies took part coupled with the schoolchildren. The audience gave a speech, recited pieces of poetry and performed many other interesting plays.They were also shown video recording of the very day, that was followed political discussions
On that period.
The same kind of meeting was also held in Tianeti culture center, where schoolchildren performed musical and literary plays ,they also exposed the board , presenting the photos of the day.all the performance was held under the motto”let”s present tulips to each other”(the name of the popular Georgian song dedicated to the people killed on the very day).at the end of the meeting ,participants lit candles.
Stepantsminda also hosted the event ,dedicated to April 9,on the initiative of the Organization of youth and sport. Students of the youth center were the participants of the event.Memorial to April 9 was decorated with flowers.Special service was conducted in the church after Michael archangel.
Dusheti municipality Art school was the initiator to hold the action in honor of the people killed on April 9.The students of the school participated in the meeting and performed interesting plays, on that very day.Teachers of the public school , municipality board staff and representatives of the local government attended the meeting.
Local population and schoolchildren decorated the memorial with flowers.
