The Head of the President’s Administration -David Tkeshelashvili and the Minister of the Regional Development and Infrastructure –Ramaz Nikolaishvili visited Mtskheta –Mtianeti Region on the 1-st of March. They had a meeting with the Governor of the Region-Tsezar Chocheli, heads of the local Boards, chairmen of the local Municipalities and the deputies to the Parliament. Participants of the meeting resumed the previous year and planned projects for the coming.

On march 10 the meeting of the local NGOs and UN representatives was hold in the village Ananuri ( Dusheti Municipality) in the conference hall of the restaurant “Ananuri”.The aim of the conference was strengthening of Georgian public society, intensify relationship between NGOs and local and state authorities, also presentations of the projects, prepared by the participants. The meeting was held with the attendance of the Governor of the Mtskheta –Mtianeti region and all the leaders of the regional municipalities.
Mtskheta-Mtianeti region mostly includes mountainous districts :Mtiuleti,Pshav-Khevsureti, Gudamakari ,Kazbegi . . .

The conference was held on the initiative of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Administration and The Agency of the Protected Areas with the attendance of the representative of the German Bank of Reconstruction Loans (KFW).
The meeting was attended by the representatives of Dusheti and Kazbegi Municipalities,NGOs and local population.
The aim of the meeting was engagement of the state people and local population in the project,changing information and having discussions was also very important on that point of view.
The first stage (four year ) of the project comprises financing of Kazbegi and Kintrishi protected areas also projects of social welfare for the people alongside.
The discussions on Pshav-Khevsureti establishment as a protected area is underway.The second stage of the program will provide its funding.
The programs are financed by the German Government ( BMZ)and The German Bank of Reconstraction Loans(KFW).
The meeting was in the term of dialogue .the sides agreed that all the protected areas will be set up in compliance with the demands of the population.They also agreed that the project for social welfare of the people alongside the protected areas will be implemented after agreement with the government.
The meeting about the assessment of the program, that funds Kazbegi national park and Pshav-Khevsureti area was hold at the conference hall of the hotel” Gudauri Ski-Resort”
