The international workshop was held in 5-6 December in Byblos at the Lebanese American University to discuss cultural heritage and sustainable tourism development issues in the eastern and southern partner countries of the European Union. The representatives of the CIUDAD and EUROMED Heritage IV programmes gathered to share practical experience, to set up new networks and raise funds for the heritage protection.

Presentation party of marinated cottage cheese was held in the village Aragvispiri on Deceber 11, on the initiative of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Office, non entrepreneurial union “Our Pshavi”and Dusheti and Tianeti Municipal offices.The event was called “The Charity of Pshavian Land”.The main task of the presentation was to popularize local agro tourism infrastructure and local natural product- marinated cottage cheese. There were also presented active and prospective tourist routes of the region, chains of the existing guest houses and natural food product, local traditional food and number of proposals in term of tourism sector. All the said food was tasted by the visitors, who had also an opportunity to attend a fair exhibition of local folk crafts and a concert of local folk ensembles.
Production of the unique, ecologically pure product is in motion in two parts of the region-Pshavi and one of the part of the Tianeti region populated with Pshavian tribes. This is the secondary (though valuable) product , produced trough milk processing ,containing number of bio active elements and substances that is useful for health. At the same time it has special aroma and taste and characterizes same features as worldwide famous French mildewed chess.
Presentation party of marinated cottage cheese will lead popularization process of the region and the said product itself that one day may become one of the most attractive food alongside with churchkhela, wine, cheese.
