On the initiative of Mtskheta –Mtianeti Regional Administration and Mtskheta Municipality Council , a symbolic square and a monument was opened in memory of 343 fire fighters from New –York died on September 11, 2001 and their Georgian colleagues killed while doing their work. The site was opened on April 2, of ongoing year ,in Mtskheta , on the territory of Kodmani forest ,on the way to Shio Mghvime Monastery.

State Representative Governor’s Administration hosted the regular meeting of the Regional Development Council
The Head of the Presidential Administration and The Representative Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region –Tsezar Chocheli gave a meeting with the councilors of the Mtskheta Regional Municipalities. They discussed the issues of the local budget and the projects funded from it and focused on the phases of ongoing projects. Participants of the meeting also underlined the subject of the rehabilitation process of the ancient capital –Mtskheta.
Currently , number of projects are underway: buildings of Copyright Office, Mtskheta Museum, Regional Police Station and Regional . . .

Fifth international exhibition “EXPO BATUMI 2012” was held in Batumi
Local and international companies took part in the exhibition “EXPO BATUMI” held on Ma4-6 in Batumi.
Advertising –informational tours, meetings with the representatives of mass media and public presentations were carried out within the frame of the event.
Seven foreign countries (Turkey, Armenia ,Azerbaijan , Ukraine, Iran ,Latvia , Poland) and more than 100 companies participated in the exhibition.
In line with the exhibition “BATUMI-EXPO 2012” Tourism National Administration was represented in a different way: they exposed all the Georgian regions in their board. Mtskheta –Mtianeti region was among them. Its banner represented variety of information from which visitors could learn cascade of news on tourist routes, cultural-exhibition events and other branches of tourism sector that are considered to be implemented in the region.
Above mentioned information will encourage tourists to plan their further tours in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and get more information on the region’s tourism potential.
