Initiated by Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional Administration and Tianeti Municipality,a folk festival “Tianetoba-2011”was staged on August 13,in Tianeti.
The event is annually celebrated in August .The guest of the day are offered the kind of colorful shows. The event is aimed at restoration of ancient Georgian traditions. Maintenance of tourism sector and development of the resort infrastructure are also the most important issues of the festival. This year on August 20 Autumn regular recruiting ceremony was held in Mtskheta.The event was organized by the Mtskheta Municipality Military Unit.
80 conscripts were recruited to the special military unit of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
Special celebration was dedicated to the very special day. The ceremony was staged in the hub of the city and got under way at 11a.m. The ceremonial was conducted on the initiative of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and the Mtskheta Municipality Board.
Patriotic songs and pieces of poetry were dedicated to that special event. The priest of the Cathedral Svetitskhoveli-father David(Jishkariani) conducted a service and blessed conscripts .”NGO” Adamiani”(human being) also participated in the action and contributed essential things to the future soldiers.
The Governor of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region-Tsezar Chocheli and the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure gave their congratulation speeches on the said event.
Representatives of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Administration, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Ministry of Defense of Georgia also were invited to the ceremony.
