International tourist exhibition “EXPOBATUMI-2011” was opened in Batumi on April, 29. The exposition hosted 12 countries and 150 tourist companies.
Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Turkey exposed their potential together with Georgia and many other countries.
International tourist exhibition “EXPOBATUMI-2011” is held annually since 2008 on the initiative of Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara A.R. Since 2010 the exposition is under the list of World tourism exhibitions. . . .

On the initiative of Mtskheta-Mtianeti government and local authorities, free medical study was conducted for IDPs. Organizers of the action were international charitable organization ”Hellenicare” and non entrepreneur company “Adamiani”(human being) . A team of physicians of Greek medical fund “Hippocrates” conducted activities. The team involved number of specialists: therapist, pediatrician, cardiologist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, radiologist, lab worker and a nurse.
IDPs were provided with suitable medical assistance (analyses, ultra wave research, and cardiogram) and medicines. . . .

Blessing ceremony was conducted for the opening of the newly constructed church in the IDPs community. The ceremony was started at 8 a.m. by Martkopi-Gardabani Bishop Jakob. The process was followed by huge number of congregations to attend the liturgy.
The construction of the temple was based in December,2009.Currently it has already been finished and begins operating from now on. Funds for the construction were allocated by the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Office, Mtskheta Municipality Self Government body, company “New Energy” and other companies. This is one more long term project ,implemented by the company . . .

Sporting-healthy competition was hosted by newly reconstructed sport gym in the village Galavani. Youth teams from all the municipalities of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region took part in the event. The age of participants ranged from 9 to 14.each of the team comprised 20 participants. The event was held on the initiative of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s administration, on May 18.
The competition covered 5 steps, by participation of all the teams .Having the best scores two top teams compete each other in the final competition.
All the competitor teams did their best to become participants of the final contest , but the players of Dusheti and Tianeti appeared winners. Concluding competition and the main praise was won by Dusheti team . Rest of the teams were awarded medals and diplomas.
The event is held in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region by organizing of the Federation of Joyful Starts for the second year. Last year the contest was hosted by Tserovani Public school .Participants from all the municipalities of Mtskheta-Mtianeti region were involved in the event. This kind of competitions are often held region wide to push young generation lead healthy lifestyle.
