MTSKHETA-MTIANETI

This year on August 20 Autumn regular recruiting ceremony was held in Mtskheta.The event was organized by the Mtskheta Municipality Military Unit.

80 conscripts were recruited to the special military unit of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

Special celebration was dedicated to the very special day. The ceremony was staged in the hub of the city and got under way at 11a.m. The ceremonial was conducted on the initiative of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and the Mtskheta . . .

A conference hall of the Bazaleti tourist compound hosted a workshop to work out a regional development project of the Mtskheta-Mtianti Region .The event was initiated by The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and was held on September 7.The meeting is carried out under the EU project-“Technical assistance for the local and regional development” and is regularly held in the residential area of IDPs.

The said project is financed by the EU Georgian Delegation while the workshops are supported by the Poland Economic Development Fund .

The project presentation started at 10 a.m. and covered all the issues of the project-methods how to carry out workshops, presenters also highlighted main tasks and goals of the project. They also stressed the role of the government in the regional development and mentioned what kind of activities are planned regarding the further development of the issues. Participants also discussed the grievances that must be solved, who should be engaged in “key workshops “to plan the best strategy for the regional development.

On the basis of the Decree of the Governor of the Mtskheta-Mtianti Region it was created a managing board, made up of Governor , representatives of the Administrative body and members of the local government. The brand new team also includes NGOs, people from private sector and analysts.

After finishing the second part of the project, conducted under the regime of hard work by the participants, they planned the date of the next workshop. The meeting will be held with the participation of the Mtskheta Mtianti Regional Development managing board and the presenters to discuss the issues of the further development.
