President of Georgia visited a Pharmaceutical Company “Abifarm”. He observed the site, witnessed the working process , had a discussion with the office workers and expressed his interest in the quality of the production.
Total amount of investment put to set up the company equals 3 million Gel. There are employed 30 people in the corporation, mostly from IDPs, populated in the Tserovani Community. Company owners plan to increase the corporation and the staff itself. Five corporations have already started in the Tserovani Community ,that are mostly employed with the local personnel from the Tserovani IDP Community.

On March 16,Hotel “Mtskheta-Palace” hosted the seminar on the topic :”Industrial Waste Management”. The action was held in respect of the project “Clean Georgia –Increase awareness of the society on the mentioned issue and their involvement in industrial waste management” .
Project is implemented with the support of the NGOs-“Georgian Green Movement”, ”Friends of the Earth-Georgia” and ”Sustainable Development Union-Eco -vision”.
The project was funded by the Sweden Development Agency (SIDA) and was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Environment.
Seminar was opened by the Sweden Ambassador Plenipotentiary in Georgia Mrs.Diana Iance and Deputy Governor of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Administration –Givi Maisuradze. They also gave a brief discussion on the project goal.
Representatives of the Mtskheta Municipality and Local Cleaning Company took part in the seminar ,where they were given all inclusive information on the world experience concerning the issues of waste management and modern technologies .
Cleaning activity was implemented in the surrounding area of Mtskheta-Bebris Tsikhe and village Saguramo. Representatives of the Sweden Embassy participated in the action alongside with the local schoolchildren.
