Special ceremony was held in Mtskheta dedicated to the memory of the warriors killed in the August war with Russia.
Mourning service was conducted in the Patriarchal Cathedral Svetitskhoveli. The service was finished with the action-blessed food was taken to the foster house.
At 1.00. p.m. a live chain was organized in the central square .At 3.00 p.m. representatives of the Governor’s office and local Board visited the families of the warriors killed in the war and paid one more honor to the families of the heroes’ . . .
The film of Lany Harvin “Five days of August” was presented to the public. The event was finished with the choirs’ presentation in the adjacent area of the museum. Great number of candles were lit in honor of the killed soldiers

Initiated by Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional Administration and Tianeti Municipality,a folk festival “Tianetoba-2011”was staged on August 13,in Tianeti.
The event is annually celebrated in August .The guest of the day are offered the kind of colorful shows. The event is aimed at restoration of ancient Georgian traditions. Maintenance of tourism sector and development of the resort infrastructure are also the most important issues of the festival.
This year, the event got underway at 12 p.m. in the public square (after famous Georgian public character Vazha –Pshavela).Number of activities were planned: Sport competitions in Georgian wrestling, horse racing, khridol(ancient kind of Georgian wrestling).There was also presented a show program for children. Folk ensembles exposed their performance. It was held a competition in having beer and khinkali. Circus performance was also actual for kids on the very day. Visitors to the celebration had an opportunity to taste Georgian traditional cuisine.
The finale of the event was the concert performed by the stars of the Georgian show business that started at 6p.m. The audience was pleased to listen to the concert till late at night.
