Givi Tsiklauri was born on May 31,1961in the village of Tolaantsopeli of the Tieneti region.
In 1978 he finished a secondary school in the village Ghulelebi and began labor activity.
In 1978-79 he worked as a worker in Orkhevi collective farm.
In1984 he graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic University, faculty of auto mechanization.
In 1984-88 he worked in town of Krivoy-Rig as a leading mechanic engineer.
In 1988-89 he worked in Tbilisi Scientific Institute of Elect machines on the position of a leading engineer.
In 1989-90 he was the director of Tieneti garages.
In 1990-2006 he worked on different positions in Tianeti Regional Department.
In 2006 he was elected a deputy chairman of The Tianeti Municipality.
In 2007-2010 he was the chairman of the Tianeti Municipality.
On June 17, 2010 he was elected a chairman of the Tianeti Municipality.
He has a wife and two children
