A conference hall of the Bazaleti tourist compound hosted a workshop to work out a regional development project of the Mtskheta-Mtianti Region .The event was initiated by The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Administration and was held on September 7.The meeting is carried out under the EU project-“Technical assistance for the local and regional development” and is regularly held in the residential area of IDPs.
The said project is financed by the EU Georgian Delegation while the workshops are supported by the Poland . . .

This year on September 9-12 Tusheti National Park hosted a training tour for the residences of the adjacent area of the Kazbegi National Park. The meeting was organized by The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Office and supported by The Agency of The Protected Areas. The teaching was carried out with the attendance of the Kazbegi population(Administration of the national Park, representatives of the local Government, local environmental NGOs, private sector and others).Representatives of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Governor’s Office and The Agency of The Protected Areas were also the participants of the project with the members of TJS/RECC.
To share the experience of the Tusheti National Park was the main purpose for the representatives of the Kazbegi Municipality Council. What kind of service is given to tourists from the local residences and how can they advance their economy were the most important issues of the training. Participants of the project also were shown guest houses, funded by the World Bank. The ones that created their own association last year and currently they work on gaining and managing grants.
In parallel guests had an opportunity to have discussions with the Director of the Tusheti National Park as well as with the head of the local Community and local population. The debate highlighted the potential and risk factors in terms of Kazbegi National Park development.
Four day educational tour showed the necessity of further meeting between the representatives of the The Agency of The Protected Areas and Kazbegi population.
