Workshops for public officers and NGOs within the project “Project management. Know-how for Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region” finished in Mtskheta on June 24.
The aim of this project is to share knowledge about project management among public officers and local NGOs of Mtksheta-Mtianeti Region. This know-how is crucial for Georgian local and regional authorities as well as NGOs in order to receive grants offered by international donor institutions working in Georgia, such as European Union Delegation, USAid, GTZ, SIDA and others. . . .

Nodar Dumbadze Tbilisi Children’s Town hosted The Khevsurian event:”A Gift Of Mountaiins to Valleys” on June,26.The performance was dedicated to the memory of Teona Qumsiashvili.The event was conducted on the initiative of The Mtskheta-Mtianeti Administration and tourist company ”Tebuloturi”.Poets, singers and folk ensembles from the land hill took part in the concert. Pieces of folk craftsmanship were also presented and Khevsurian beer was produced specially on the very day.
The tradition of conducting the Khevsurian event:”A Givt Of Mountains To Valleys” derives from 2007 and is annually carried out on June 26.Participnts are not only of Khevsurian origin, but they come from other mountainous regions of Georgia too.
The event traditionally enjoys the presence of numerous visitors and that day was not exclusion. Ensembles and performers from Pshavi, Kazbegi, Tianeti, Pankisi and Akhmeta performed their works.
In spite of the fact that it was a long term performance, listeners were delighted to attend such a beautiful concert. Pieces of mountainous melody brought greatest pleasure to the audience.
The aim of the event was the popularization of mountainous culture and development of tourism sector in land hills.
The concert was held under the motto:”If city dwellers cannot go to the mountains, then the latter will visit them”.
The performance lasted till late night.
